Wow! Someone nominated me for “Freedom Fighter of the Year” and I’m on a cool list with these guys!

Tell us, Bob Barker, just what else we’ve won!

Wow Mike, great job! This is only the beginning. Next year, you can be the shoe thrower :)

Well, you got my vote, and that of 11 other people.

Like me, those other 11 people know how you truly fight for freedom is coming up with your own individual and peaceful way. One of the things I did was to have my name taken off the voter roles. I not only walked away from government by doing so, but I also made a pledge to be non-violent.

Peter Schiff gives good financial advice, but that doesn’t make one a “Freedom Fighter.” The Iraqi shoe-thrower, who won by a landslide, has an obvious grievance, but who knows what his politics are? Furthermore, as silly as it sounds, shoe-throwing is a violent act, borne of a mind that acts out in violent anger.

Mike Golguski, on the other hand, has done something courageous and peaceful, while simultaneously giving the world a lesson in walking away from government and the use of force and violence. There is no better way to fight for freedom.

176 voters in that poll got it wrong.
