Ehm… how exactly does that differ from “police state”?
By Dave on 26 September 2009
It appears that someone is planning on making a career out of smearing people employed to serve and protect. Interesting that EVERYONE was peacefully protesting – from the camera’s vantage point. Just like everyone in jail is innocent. I’d love to hear how the local authorities could better ensure the safety of the G20 delegates.

Oh, they’re serving and protecting, all right… their ruling class masters, the people be damned.
By Gilligan on 28 September 2009
They could kill everyone in that area and people would still do nothing.
By Mike Gogulski on 28 September 2009
@Gilligan: And that’s the sick thing. People stand around thinking, “Well, they got cop suits, so we can’t do nothin’…”
By Gilligan on 30 September 2009
@Mike. You’re right. And the so-called media would goosestep in lockstep condemning individuals protecting themselves from the police. Pravda couldn’t do better.
By Mike Gogulski on 30 September 2009
Pravda‘s still in publication. Have you seen the new women’s weekly? Lovely…

Didn’t know where else to put this:
Eventually, they’re going to use the Active Denial System on protestors here in the US. Learn how to microwave-proof your clothing.

(This technique can also be adapted to proofing your walls against millimeter-wave surveillance, and other stuff like that… but you’re probably interested in the street empowerment angle.)

And yes, the electromagnetic torture technology is going to be used against Americans.

@Mary: As with rabid dogs, wise folks don’t care much about their motivation.
