Since I can’t see the future, I’ll have to take your word for it. Since I am a student of TOLFA, I hope to see all “nations” become irrelevent around that time.

I’m sure that as the developing world continues to prosper they will take a greater share of the worlds political influence. In the end, America and all of the developed countries will lose clout.

They are actually kind of lucky. The developing world can watch the mistakes of bad state policies and hopefully avoid them. Perhaps there is still hope somewhere.

I have a hard time imagining that the population living in the geographical area currently known as the “United States” will outright cease to be a political force. I feel that no matter what kind of global economic catastrophe awaits, there are simply too many people with too much human and economic capital to write the area off completely.

I like the Marc Steven’s definition of politics as “organized violence and deception”. So if the particular geographical area and and people know as the United States *did* “cease to be a significant political force”, that would be fantastic!

If the 350+ people living here are no longer condoning or practicing organized aggressive violence and deception, than at least part of the planet will be back on the right track.

I still hold out hope that the cancer of United States militarism can be destroyed once the parasite has destroyed the economy of its host population.

Kent: What does “TOLFA” stand for?

Seth: I guess there’s reason why I should clarify to proposition by saying “a unified political force”.
